On November 18, 2005, the environmental organization Greenpeace appealed to the Moscow City Prosecutor's Office with a demand to ban the youth union "For the Motherland!" (the youth wing of the Rodina party) to use the Greenpeace brand for political purposes. Environmentalists were indignant at the name of the new initiative of the young "Rodintsy", who called for an inspection of all food markets in the capital for their sanitary condition and dubbed this action - "Patriotic Greenpeace" .
Greenpeace representatives believe that such actions cause moral damage to their organization, which is positioned as non-political.
