Search at the new NBP headquarters

On November 23, 2005, employees of the Department for Combating Organized Crime (UBOP) of the Moscow Main Internal Affairs Directorate conducted a search at the headquarters of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) (according to other sources, in the editorial office of the General Line newspaper) on Kashirskoye Highway.

According to the press secretary of the party, Alexander Averin, all those at the headquarters (about 15 members of the NBP) were herded into one room and the lights turned off. According to A. Averin, the officers of the Organized Crime Control Department did not show a warrant and did not state the reasons for their appearance.

The headquarters of the NBP moved to the premises on the Kashirskoye Highway a few days ago. "The contract for the lease of the premises was concluded by us the other day and we have already paid the amount of the rent ," the NBP spokesman said.

According to lawyer Dmitry Agranovsky, 15 members of the NBP were detained with the use of force. Their passports were checked, and then the young people were taken to the police to check if they were wanted. The detainees were escorted to the Brateevo police department.
