Nationalist detained in Krasnodar

He was arrested by the police on September 13, 2005 as part of a criminal case initiated under several articles of the Criminal Code, including Art. 282 ("incitement of national, racial or religious hatred") of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation The case itself was initiated on August 3, 2005 by the prosecutor's office of the Central Administrative District of Krasnodar.

Sarafanov is accused of arbitrarily seizing premises in Krasnodar and "organizing the production of letters on computer technology to the heads of state authorities in Krasnodar and the region, in order to incite hatred and enmity between people on the grounds of belonging to a certain social group. " After another mailing of nationalists dated August 28, 2005, by a court decision, the undertaking not to leave the accused was replaced by detention. The detainee is kept in one of the cells of the Central District Department of Internal Affairs of Krasnodar.
