On December 8, 2005, in the cassation instance of the Khabarovsk regional court, the criminal case under Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation against the head of the Khabarovsk branch of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) Rem Latypov was terminated.
The case was initiated at the end of September 2004 on the fact of distribution in 2003 of the Limonka newspapers and anti-Semitic leaflets. The case was dismissed due to the expiration of the statute of limitations (more than two years had passed by the time the cassation appeal was filed and the case itself was considered by the regional court).
Let us recall that in the second half of 2004 several criminal cases were initiated against R. Latypov, in one of which he was arrested and kept in a pre-trial detention center. In July 2005, he was sentenced by the Central District Court of Khabarovsk to one year's suspended sentence with a two-year probationary period for distributing printed nationalist materials.
