On December 30, 2005, a native of Azerbaijan was killed in Tyumen. The attack was carried out in the city center near the Tekutievsky cemetery by a group of "skinhead" teenagers. Skinheads beat the victim and inflicted several stab wounds on him, after which the unconscious victim was thrown over the fence of the cemetery. He later died from beatings and frostbite. The body was discovered on January 2 by a passerby. According to the medical examiner's conclusion, the man died from a traumatic brain injury.
The operatives managed to solve this crime only in March 2006, after one of the skinheads involved in the murder was detained during an attack on participants in the "Food not Bombs" action. He named the names of the rest of the "comrades-in-arms" - they were detained on May 14. On May 17, all four participants in the murder of an Azerbaijani citizen were charged.
