The police detained Abel

On January 24, 2006, in Moscow, at the exit from the Ryazansky Prospekt metro station, police detained a member of the Central Committee of the National Bolshevik Party (NBP) Vladimir Linderman (Abel) and party activist Dmitry Sumin.

As follows from the statement of the press service of the NBP, the employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs do not name the reasons for the detention of the National Bolsheviks, and refuse to name the police department where they were taken. In the nearby police stations to the metro station - the Vykhino and Ryazansky Prospekt police departments deny the presence of detainees Linderman and Sumin.

"We fear that he has been kidnapped for the purpose of deportation to Latvia ," NBP spokesman Alexander Averin said.

In September 2003, an attempt was already made to deport V. Linderman to Latvia, where he is accused of attempting to assassinate the President of the country, Vaira Vike-Freiberga. However, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation refused to extradite Linderman to Latvia, as it considered that he was being persecuted for his political convictions.
