On January 28, 2006, in Yekaterinburg, near the building of the military prosecutor's office of the Volga-Ural Military District, an unauthorized rally against “hazing” in the army took place.
The action was attended by about 20 people who did not have any banners or posters. Several supporters of the Sverdlovsk branch of the NBP distributed leaflets demanding a thorough investigation into the facts of hazing at the Chelyabinsk Tank School and the initiation of criminal cases against all those involved in this incident.
According to the press service of the Central Internal Affairs Directorate of the Sverdlovsk Region, three National Bolsheviks were detained during the action.
Administrative proceedings have been initiated against the detainees under Art. 20.2 Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
On January 30, 2006, the magistrate's court hearing in the case of three National Bolsheviks detained by police during a rally in support of Andrei Sychev was postponed to February 1, 2006.
On February 1, 2006, the Magistrate Court of the Oktyabrsky District of Yekaterinburg sentenced two NBP activists to a fine of 500 rubles for violating the rules of holding a rally.
