Skinhead convicted of "hooliganism"

In Nizhny Novgorod, on charges of attacking a teenager of non-Slavic appearance in the winter of 2006, a minor student of one of the city colleges Dmitry Ivanov, a member of one of the local skin groups, was detained.

Neither the accused nor his mother denied the nationalistic nature of the crime (the young man not only brought neo-Nazi literature into the house, but also introduced his younger brother to it). However, he was convicted under the article "Hooliganism" without taking into account the motive of hatred (the term and date of the trial were not reported).

By July 2006, D. Ivanov was serving his sentence in a juvenile colony in Ardatov, Nizhny Novgorod Region.
