A student from Uganda was beaten in St. Petersburg

On January 30, 2006, a 24-year-old 5th year student of the academy, a citizen of Uganda, was attacked near the building of the St. Petersburg Medical Academy. Two of the three attackers beat the African for several minutes, after which they fled the scene. According to the victim, the attackers were about 16 years old, had short hair and were dressed in black clothes and high boots.

The victim is in the hospital. His cheekbone was broken and a number of other serious facial injuries were inflicted.

The fact of the attack is being checked, the issue of initiating a criminal case is being decided.
