Skinheads beat up musicians

On February 5, 2006, on the birthday of Bob Marley in Moscow, participants of a concert-festival dedicated to this date were beaten by skinheads near the Tochka nightclub.

The attack happened at the metro station "Leninsky Prospekt" at about 17:00, when the musicians were going to a concert. They were attacked by more than 30 shaven-headed thugs.

Kirill Usachev, bass player of the bands "Mighty House Of Vibes" and "Jah Soldiers", suffered the most seriously. Who was hospitalized with an open fracture of the nose, concussion, numerous bruises and a suspected crack in the skull (the last diagnosis, fortunately, was not confirmed).

An hour and a half later, at about 6:30 pm, a group of four people, among whom was the bassist of "Ja Division" Mikhail Klimov, was attacked by a crowd of youngsters (about ten people), whose clothes had Nazi symbols. The crowd was chasing the Rasta girl. It was she and her friend who were initially attacked by skinheads. The girls were beaten on the back and chest. Young people stood up for her, a fight began. Skinheads, hiding their faces with masks and scarves, beat the rastamans, shouting racist slogans. The beating stopped as suddenly as it started. According to some reports, the beating was stopped by passers-by who loudly began to call the police.

The victims returned to the subway to warn festival goers of the possible danger. M. Klimov turned to a nearby patrol policeman, informing him of the attack, and then went to the emergency room. The doctor recorded the musician's injuries (hematomas of the face and head, bruises of the hands, etc.). The second injured young man did not go to the doctor.

Soon the police detained 8 people, but all of them were released before M. Klimov and several witnesses arrived at the police station. Despite the fact that Kirill Usachev was hospitalized, despite the statement of another musician and numerous testimonies, the criminal case was never opened, because, according to eyewitnesses of the events, the police considered that there were not enough grounds for opening a case. Police officers did not even look at the certificate from the doctor about the injuries inflicted on the musician.

It is known that there were not only these attacks. There is information that a group of skinheads attacked the queue that stood at the entrance to the club. Nothing was reported about the other incidents and the number of victims in them.
