On February 3, 2006, Nikolai Savinov was detained in Nizhny Novgorod, holding an individual picket in support of Stanislav Dmitrievsky .
Despite the explanations that individual picketing did not require permission and that it was held far from the courtroom, N. Savinov was taken to the police station, where a protocol was drawn up against him on “violating the established procedure for holding a picket” under Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses. The detainee spent more than three hours in the department.
