The head of the regional Rodina party was beaten in Volgograd

On February 12, 2006, Dmitry Kolomyttsev, head of the regional organization of the Rodina party, was beaten up in Volgograd. His head was pierced, there are fractures, the victim is in intensive care.

As it became known from Rodina leader Dmitry Rogozin, Kolomyttsev and his wife were under surveillance, and when they entered the entrance of their own house, they were attacked by two unknown persons. D. Kolomyttsev was stunned with a blow to the head with a hammer, and then he and his wife were beaten with baseball bats.

Kolomyttsev's wife noted that the attackers did not take anything from them. Rogozin expressed the opinion that the assassination attempt was due to political reasons.

Kolomytsev, according to Rogozin, was not engaged in business and was in a free party job.

On February 14, 2006, regional prosecutor Leonid Belyak confirmed that it was a "daring attack for the purpose of intimidation ," and Mikhail Tsukruk, head of the police department, assured that the disclosure of this crime was a "matter of honor" for Volgograd policemen.
