"Ideological conservatism" in Russia

On March 1, 2006, an article by Vitaly Averyanov "Conservatism in one single country" appeared on the website of the Political News Agency, which supplements and develops the provisions made in Mikhail Remizov's analytical report "Conservatism Today " .

"Putin, like Stalin in the 1920s ... made it possible for ideological conservatism to mature in post-Yeltsin Russia, the ideology of mainland Russia with its heavenly roots and its historical tradition," the author writes. The first part of the article is a commentary on the work of M. Remizov, the second is a detailed analysis (with references to authorities) of the boundaries of conservatism, the definition of the concept of "ideological conservatism" and criticism of the concepts of "liberal conservatism" and "conservative liberalism".

Ideological (otherwise dynamic) conservatism, the author writes, "represents not a passive mode of a protective principle, but the beginning of self-correction and self-correction, a "right movement" in a person. At the same time, "conservative-revolutionary" and "liberal-conservative" doctrines do not fit into the future platform of a self-confident, dynamically stable Russia. "Conservative liberalism is nothing but the 'collapse stagnation' that we experienced in Russia at the turn of the century . "

“In relation to the urgent tasks of political construction, dynamic conservatism contains a program for the renovation of the state machine, its repair. ... This is the renovation of the state, and not an imitation of its past, passed states. and disassemble it to zero, which is offered by revolutionaries of all stripes, including conservative ones .

V. Averyanov sharply criticizes "liberal conservatives". For example, this: "Mammon of liberalism and the Lord of the Sacred Tradition are jealous gods, they will not tolerate competitors. Meanwhile, the calling of a liberal conservative is precisely to talk to everyone in their language - with conservatives as a conservative, with liberals as a liberal. At the same time, the liberal-conservative runs the risk of "playing" his own soul .

"A conservative ... revolution in modern conditions can easily turn into an "orange" one, since it reproduces all the same "Protestant", "millenarian", "charismatic" archetypes .

The author concludes: "We need to take care not to introduce laws and procedures in Russia according to the patterns of other civilizations, but to build our own mainland world, selectively and inventively relying on near and distant partners and introducing reasonable and justified quarantines against the diseases of our century " . In general, "the time has come to build in a single Russia - not socialism, not communism, not market capitalism - but conservatism . "
