A new "Volgograd newspaper" has been published

On March 1, 2006, the first issue of the Volgogradskaya Gazeta was published in Volgograd, a publication that replaced the City News , which was closed due to a "cartoon scandal".

The President of "MediaSoyuz" Elena Zelinskaya expressed confidence that the Volgograd authorities listened to the opinion of the public. "We believe that publications that offend national or religious feelings are unacceptable in the media. But it does not fit into our ideas that this is such a crime for which the newspaper should be closed", - in particular, E. Zelinskaya noted .
