Regular arrests of NBP pickets

On March 5, 2006, two individual picketers were detained in Rostov-on-Don - activists of the Rostov branch of the NBP, who were selling a party newspaper. On the same day, during an authorized picket in Volgograd, 7 National Bolsheviks were detained.

In the Volgograd police station, the picketers were fingerprinted, photographed, and then administrative protocols were drawn up on the detainees under Art. 19.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation ("failure to comply with the legal order of the body exercising state supervision in time"). Meanwhile, neither before nor during the detention, there were no instructions from any authorities regarding the holding of the picket, the NBP-Info website notes.

About 70 copies of the newspaper "On the edge" and leaflets were confiscated from the detainees. It is reported that the newspaper will be sent for examination to the prosecutor's office for propaganda of extremist activities.
