Leonid Ruzov about the alliance between Garry Kasparov and Andrey Savelyev

On March 10, 2006, the website "Polit.Ru" published an article by Leonid Ruzov "Time to avoid hugs." In it, a well-known publicist and author of the "Kasparov" tab in Novaya Gazeta condemned the United Civil Front (UCF) for collaborating with Andrey Savelyev .

L. Ruzov believes that the loss of leading positions in society by the liberals of the early 1990s is connected not only with the disappointment of Russians in their politics, but also with the loss by the liberals themselves of clear ideas about "what is good and what is bad." "Here's the 'letter of five hundred' - definitely 'bad.' And the Nazi rally on November 4 is also 'bad .'

“When I inquired about Savelyev’s speech from one of the organizers of the congress, he answered almost with a question to the question: “Rogozin sent him to us, and what was to be done? Drive? Not having succeeded in the science of the meeting, not being noticed in the presidiums, I nevertheless risked expressing my opinion to him: "That's it, my friend, without fail to drive! The perplexity of the organizers and the "inconvenience" of abrupt gestures in politics are quite understandable. However, Savelyev is a well-known personality for a long time, and the reputational losses from the fact that he was not expelled from the UHF conference are much greater than the benefits from the "unification" (very doubtful, by the way) of the opposition. * "After all, Mr. Rogozin, who was skimping on the congress of oppositionists-democrats, had his own reasons. Firstly, to show who the "big brother" is here. And secondly, to "finish off" and "zashkvarit" the gentlemen from the "Civil Front" ...

"Letter of five hundred" , - continues L. Ruzov, - and the march on November 4 for these very supporters (OGF - ed. ) (and for me too) is something completely unacceptable. They trust their own feelings more than political leaders (and so do I!). What's the output? Loss of trust on the part of those who make up the core support group. The main one is because a common vision of the situation has already been achieved with these people. And this is more important and more expensive than mass support without this very "common vision". With those others, such a "common vision" has yet to be sought.

The author does not accept all the accusations of not understanding the "political expediency" and the "poverty" of the political opposition that really exists, especially in the provinces - after all, even in these conditions, there is always the freedom to choose partners, allies and determine one's own position, dictated not by political, but by purely moral ones, moral notions.
