The house of the Chairman of the Muslim Spiritual Directorate of Karachay-Cherkessia was shelled

On the night of March 14, the house of Ismail Berdiev, chairman of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Republic and Stavropol Territory, was shelled. According to the mufti, he did not receive any threats the day before. None of the members of the family of the head of the DUM was injured.

On March 16, the seventh reporting and re-election congress of Muslims is to be held, where the election of the chairman of the Spiritual Muslim Board of the KChR and the Stavropol Territory is expected. The only candidate for this position is I. Berdiev.

On the fact of the attack, the prosecutor's office of the Malokarachaevsky district opened criminal cases under Part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession and carrying of weapons and ammunition) and under Part 1 of Art. 213 (hooliganism with a weapon).
