Attack on anti-fascists in Oryol

On March 24, 2006, in the center of the city of Orel, an attack was made on activists of the Youth Human Rights Group of the Youth Human Rights Group "MPG-Orel" and volunteers of the IOP "United Europe".

Anti-fascists pasted leaflets on the Alexander Bridge with invitations to the "Stop Racism" picket . Two young men walking towards them asked the volunteers to look at the leaflet. While the girls were taking leaflets out of the package, MPG activist Sergei Sabanov was knocked down and beaten. Seeing that the girls took out mobile phones, the attackers fled.

The victims filed a complaint with the police.

On June 9, 2006, S. Sabanov and other MPG activists were invited to give explanations at the Zavodskoy District Department of Internal Affairs in the city of Orel.
