In St. Petersburg, one of those accused of murdering a Vietnamese student was declared insane

On March 28, 2006, the city court of St. Petersburg issued a ruling on the application of coercive medical measures against a 17-year-old St. Petersburg resident accused of murdering Vietnamese student Vu Anh Tuan. During the investigation , he was declared insane, and the case against him was separated into a separate proceeding.

The young man was found guilty of stabbing the victim 8 times. However, he was released from criminal liability, as he was declared insane and sent for compulsory treatment in a specialized psychiatric hospital.

Recall that 14 young people were charged with the murder of a Vietnamese student. Several defendants are charged with Part 1 of Article 282 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
