Rally near the Kazakh embassy dispersed

On March 31, 2006, near the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Moscow, a picket was held in solidarity with the residents of the suburbs of Alma-Ata, who were fighting against the authorities. The picket, organized by the Socialist Resistance, was dispersed, four picketers were detained.

When submitting a notification about the rally in the prefecture of the Central Administrative District of Moscow, the organizers were told about a possible refusal to hold the rally, however, the notification of the ban on the event was not received, and a decision was made to hold the rally.

A few minutes after the start, the organizer of the action, I. Yasin, received a call from an unknown person who said that the picket was not authorized by the authorities and that it was illegal to hold it.

Four detainees were taken to the police department of the Basmanny district of Moscow. According to the Socialist Resistance website, the detainees were accused of holding an unsanctioned picket.
