Summons to the military registration and enlistment office - at a rally against conscription

On April 1, 2006, a rally was held in Izhevsk against conscription into the army. After the end of the event, Yevgeny Bishev, chairman of the regional council of the United Civil Forum, was handed a summons with a demand to appear at the military registration and enlistment office for a medical examination.

Bishev was accused of evasion, according to a correspondent for the Kasparov.ru website, and he had to take a summons. "I consider such actions to be direct pressure on the members of the United Civil Front movement ," E. Bishev said.
