A native of Bangladesh was beaten in Voronezh

On March 17, 2006, a 26-year-old native of Bangladesh, a citizen of Russia, Ferdoush Vakhed, was beaten in Voronezh.

This became known on April 3, 2006 after the victim left the hospital. According to F. Vakhed, three young men approached him at the bus stop, one of them suddenly attacked him and started to beat him in the face. The victim managed to escape and seek help from the police. The attackers were detained, but after the protocol was drawn up, they were released. F.Vahed was hospitalized with a concussion and facial bruises.

Assistant to the district prosecutor Alexander Matytsin noted that "there is no conflict on racial, national grounds" . The materials of the prosecutor's office sent the magistrate to initiate a criminal case under articles on causing bodily harm of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. At the same time, the victim himself believes that the crime was committed precisely on racial grounds.
