On April 11, during a meeting between Governor Mikhail Men and the head of the Russian Orthodox Old Believer Church, Metropolitan Kornily, the possibility of transferring the Edinoverie Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God to the Old Believers was discussed. The head of the region supported this initiative. Previously, the temple belonged to the Old Believers, but in 1991 it was transferred to the Moscow Patriarchate. The regional government is ready to negotiate with architects and businessmen about the restoration of the wooden church. The idea of transferring the temple to the Old Believers was supported by the Archbishop of Ivanovo-Voznesensk and Kineshma Ambrose (Shchurov).
