The case of extremism in Volzhsky

On April 19, 2006, 10 activists of the National Bolshevik Party in Volzhsky, Volgograd Region, were summoned for questioning to the city prosecutor's office, where they learned that a criminal case had been opened on the initiative of the FSB under Art. 280 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("public calls for extremist activity").

The case was initiated on the fact of holding a sanctioned procession on April 5, 2006 in Volzhsky. Half an hour after the start of the action, the police detained the National Bolsheviks. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, according to the NBP-Info website, the reason for this was "anti-state and anti-social cries of "Down with Putin!" .

The National Bolsheviks are involved in the case as witnesses, they refused to testify, referring to the 51st Art. Constitution.
