A native of Transcaucasia was killed in Moscow

On the evening of April 22, 2006, in Moscow, on the platform of the Pushkinskaya metro station, 17-year-old native of Baku of Armenian origin Vigen Abramyants, a first-year student at the Moscow Institute of Management, was killed.

Vigen Abramyants and about ten of his classmates were standing on the platform of the Pushkinskaya metro station when they were attacked by a group of teenagers (10-12 people) dressed in black clothes and high boots, as it turned out later - fans of the Lokomotiv football club returning in the match. During the fight, one of the fans inflicted a penetrating knife wound in the heart on V. Abrahamyan, who died on the spot. Two more students were injured in the face and hands. Their life is out of danger.

The attackers were armed with "sharpening and knives". Having inflicted several blows with cold weapons, they disappeared, leaving along the transition to the Tverskaya or Chekhovskaya stations. The incident was filmed by video cameras installed at the metro station.

On April 23, 17-year-old Moscow schoolboy Denis Kulagin was detained on suspicion of murder.

The Moscow prosecutor's office opened a criminal case under Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder). Various versions of the attack are being considered. A number of news agencies report that the conflict occurred on the basis of hostile relations - because of the girl.

On April 25, 2006, a message appeared in Internet blogs that eyewitnesses and comrades of the deceased claim that V. Abrahamyants was killed on sight and immediately, as "the only (in the company) owner of a non-Slavic appearance" .
