A Turkish citizen was beaten in St. Petersburg

On April 22, 2006, Turkish citizen Gul Orhan was attacked at the Avtovo metro station in St. Petersburg. According to the victim, he was beaten by three young people in an electric train car.

Three unemployed residents of the Leningrad region aged 23, 31 and 18 were detained on suspicion of the attack. On the fact of beating, a criminal case was initiated under article 116 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (beatings). The victim is on outpatient treatment, his condition is assessed as satisfactory.

The prosecutor's office of the city claims that there were no extremist motives in the actions of the attackers, but " "the conflict arose on the basis of sudden personal hostile relations .
