On April 23, 2006, Ilya Ivanov, an activist of the National Bolshevik Party, was detained in Omsk and taken to the Kemerovo department of the FSB. The investigator of the FSB Department for the Kemerovo region informed I. Ivanov about the initiation of a criminal case against him under Art. 280 part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“public calls for extremist activity using the media”).
The reason for initiating the case, according to the NBP-Info website, was that Ivanov distributed a publication called "Shturm" two years ago.
The detainee refused to testify in accordance with Art. 51 of the Constitution. At the moment he is in Kemerovo under house arrest.
