In mid-April 2006, an office was held in the Irkutsk branch of the RONS.
A group of employees of the Department of Economic Crime of the Kirovsky district of Irkutsk seized several newspapers and brochures of the RONS, as well as other Orthodox patriotic publications (the book "Spiritual ABC") from the headquarters of the Irkutsk regional branch of the RONS and the Ruslan store. After that, the head of the regional branch of the RONS, A. Turik, would be summoned to the regional police department, where they tried to find out from him the nature of the literature distributed by the RONS. The Ruslan store was fined 30,000 rubles. on a formal basis.
It is not entirely clear why the OBEP conducted the check: the RONS reports confirm. that the subject of the test was not the economic activity of the organization, but the content of "patriotic" literature.
We also note that A. Turik is not only the leader of the regional branch of the RONS, but also the head of the regional branch of the Union of the Russian People (SRN). Recall that in the neighboring Amur region, a criminal case "on inciting ethnic hatred" was initiated against the leader of the local branch of the RNC movement. Perhaps the check in Irkutsk is connected with this case.
