On April 27, 2006, a picket in defense of Mikhail Khodorkovsky and a picket of the youth movement "United Russia" "Young Guard" were dispersed in St. Petersburg near the US Consulate.

The participants of the picket in defense of Khodorkovsky, about which the city administration was notified, planned to convey to the American consul an appeal to Congress and the US State Department calling for a boycott of the G-8 summit in St. Petersburg.

At the request of the police, the picket was curtailed, and a number of participants were detained. The organizer of the picket, Dilya Rainina, who had a notice of the action with her, was sent to the 78th police station in St. Petersburg. According to D.
