According to Tserkovnye Vedomosti (a publication of the Russian True Orthodox Church), on April 20 (for the Orthodox - Maundy Thursday), the Cossacks, together with the Orthodox priest (Moscow Patriarchate) Vladimir Gusev, raided the Church of the Holy Royal Martyrs (the jurisdiction of the RTOC) in Pervouralsk. On the eve there was a split in the Cossack village itself, as a result of which part of the Cossacks moved to the MP. The pogromists, having expelled the parishioners of the RTOC, took out of the church utensils and other property that belonged to the community and personally to rector Viktor Babitsyn. MP priest V. Gusev said that he was participating in the raid with the blessing of Archbishop Vikenty (Morari) of Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye.
