On May 1, 2006, in Petrozavodsk, officers of the RUBOP in civilian clothes detained three activists of the National Bolshevik Party and two sympathizers who were returning from a May Day demonstration.
All the detainees were taken to the department of the RUBOP, where they were interrogated. During the interrogation, it turned out that the detainees belonged to the party, the structure of the local branch of the NBP, the number, leaders, etc.
Subsequently, the Karelinf website writes, the Rubopists commented to the representatives of the National Bolsheviks as follows: "Some fascists are preparing an action against the National Bolsheviks, possibly using explosives, and that is why the guys were taken to the department - they must be warned about this.
