On May 17, 2006, it became known about the trial of Daniil Vanchaev, an activist of the Samara anti-conscription movement, who became the object of persecution after he took part in the theatrical action "Conscription is canceled", held in Samara on February 23, 2006.
They tried to detain D. Vanchaev, an active participant in the action, on the same day, without presenting any documents, without any explanation. After some time, he was summoned to a conversation at the FSB, where they found out his involvement with "Satanists" in connection with acts of vandalism in cemeteries. Then he was interrogated by the prosecutor's office of the Oktyabrsky district of Samara in the case of insulting the President of the Russian Federation and Minister of Defense Ivanov.
In the end, according to the website of the Collective Action Institute, a criminal case was initiated against D. Vanchaev for transporting drugs (probably under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - ed. ). In the indictment, the amount of confiscated cannabis is constantly changing, continues the author of the message on the website A. Lashmankin: now 8.4 grams, then 8.1 grams, then 5.8 grams, it is contained in two or three parcels.
The case will be heard on May 24, 2006 in the Zubovo-Polyana court, Republic of Mordovia, Zubovo-Polyana.
