Against hate speech in "Moskovsky Komsomolets in Petrozavodsk"

In May 2006, the Karelian regional public organization "Islamic education" appealed to the city prosecutor's office of Petrozavodsk with a demand to check a series of publications in the newspaper "Moskovsky Komsomolets in Petrozavodsk" (unfortunately, the titles of the articles are not indicated).

The reason for four appeals to the prosecutor's office was a series of articles published in the newspaper from April 26 to May 17. In the opinion of Islamic Education, the articles are of a pronounced Aktikavkaz character, down to "elements of a call to violence . "

At the same time, the press service of the organization emphasizes that the appeals to the prosecutor's office were preceded by attempts to communicate with the editorial office of the newspaper itself: "The organization has repeatedly contacted the editorial office of the newspaper and expressed its disagreement with the publication of the nationality of criminals and people suspected of a crime, since such an approach irritates the public consciousness and the development of a turbulent situation in the field of interethnic relations in the republic . However, there was probably no reaction, and the Muslims turned to the prosecutor's office.
