At the end of May 2006, the editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Radical Politics" Boris Stomakhin, known for supporting Chechen separatists, was sent for a psychiatric examination to the State Scientific Center for Social and Forensic Psychiatry named after V.P. Serbian.
B. Stomakhin was detained in Moscow on March 21, 2006 on suspicion of public calls for extremist activities and inciting religious hatred (Stomakhin, among other things, is the author of the Chechen separatist website Kavkaz-Center).
On May 19, the Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow extended B. Stomakhin's detention until July 21.
The decision to send B. Stomakhin for a psychiatric examination was issued by Svetlana Kolobova, investigator of the prosecutor's office of the North-Eastern District of Moscow.
