A group of skinheads has been charged in Tyumen

On May 17, 2006, four teenagers were charged with murder in Tyumen, who beat a native of Azerbaijan to death on December 30, 2005. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm resulting in death, motivated by national hatred).

The operatives managed to solve the crime only in March 2006. One of the skinheads involved in the murder was among the eight arrested for attacking participants in the "Food not Bombs" charity event on March 19th. According to law enforcement agencies, he himself told about the incident and named the names of other participants who were detained on May 14. Teenagers (one - 16 years old, three - about 20 years old) stated that they were skinheads and committed the murder of an Azerbaijani citizen for ideological reasons.

“I don’t think they feel any regret. They see their justification in the fact that the young man they killed was a person of Caucasian nationality,” Anton Gaev, an investigator with the Tyumen prosecutor’s office, said.

"Young people belong to a group of skinheads - representatives of a radical nationalist pro-fascist group. All suspects were searched - anti-Semitic literature was seized, as well as leaflets and wall newspapers promoting national hatred. Home-made sticks with chains with which they beat their victims were seized," - noted the deputy prosecutor of the Leninsky administrative district of Tyumen Lev Gromov.

According to the investigation, a group of Tyumen skinheads was "underground" for some time in connection with the murder of one of its leaders near the village of Verkhniy Bor in 2004, who "betrayed the common idea." The killers were sent to jail, while the rest of the group "hidden".

According to L. Gromov, in the final version, they will be charged under paragraph "l" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("murder").
