On May 25, 2006, police and SOBR units in Perm confiscated servers from the Alfa group of enterprises, which owns the weekly newspaper Permskiy Obozrevatel, which is in opposition to the Perm governor, and the Perm Neighbors website.
The reason for the seizure was a criminal case initiated on the basis of the statement of journalist Irina Kolushinskaya about the protection of her honor and dignity, which, in her opinion, were infringed on the pages of the site's forum.
Alexei Kharin, executive director of Alfa, said that the investigative actions were carried out with significant violations, for example, with a significant part of them, witnesses were not present, and the events were not filmed from the very beginning.
