The arrest of Roman Popkov was declared legal

On May 31, 2006, the Moscow City Court dismissed the cassation appeal of Roman Popkov, the head of the Moscow branch of the NBP, and recognized his arrest as lawful.

Complaints by Nazir Magomedov, Sergei Medvedev and Vladimir Titov, requesting that the decision of the Tverskoy Court of Moscow be annulled and that their measure of restraint be changed to non-custodial, will be considered on June 7, 2006.
