Anti-fascist actions in Perm

On June 1, 2006, an anti-fascist action "My world without enmity" was held in Perm, organized on the initiative of the regional branch of the "Memorial" society. Volunteers and members of four public organizations took to the streets with paint cans to paint over fascist slogans and symbols on the walls of houses and city fences.

Passers-by were actively involved in the event. The largest number of fascist inscriptions was painted over in Leninsky and Industrialny districts. The purpose of the action was to draw the attention of the public and authorities of Perm to the problems of national intolerance and enmity.

A few days before that - on May 30 - a similar action against Nazism and xenophobia, called "Our Fatherland - All Humanity", had already taken place in the city. It was organized by the independent trade union "Student Solidarity" and the Center for Support of Democratic Youth Initiatives (youth "Memorial"). As part of the action, a procession and a rally took place.
