On June 2, 2006, in the Zavolzhye of the Nizhny Novgorod region, activists of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the National Bolshevik Party held a protest action on the roof of the plant administration of the Zavolzhsky Motor Plant against layoffs and the catastrophic economic and social situation at the enterprise. All five protesters were detained and taken to the department of internal affairs of the city of Zavolzhye.
It is reported that the National Bolsheviks are accused of committing an offense in accordance with Art. 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation. FSB officers left Nizhny Novgorod for the Volga region, the NBP-Info website reports.
