The Archbishop of Ufa and the Mufti of Bashkiria ask the President of the Republic to strengthen the fight against prostitution

Archbishop of Ufa and Sterlitamak Nikon (Vasyukov) and Mufti of Bashkiria Nurmukhammad Nigmatullin sent a joint open letter to President of the Republic Murtaza Rakhimov with a request to more actively fight against prostitution in the republic.

In 2004, the clergy had already applied to the authorities of Bashkiria with such a request, however, as the letter says, "comparison of current advertisements and those of two years ago shows that many dispatch services are still operating." The archbishop and the mufti also lamented that "the attempts to develop the promised bills in the State Assembly of the Republic of Belarus" are also inaudible.
