On June 17, 2006, a fifth-year student of the Rostov State Medical University, a citizen of Zimbabwe, was beaten up in Rostov-on-Don.
He was attacked around 20:00 by three young men shouting nationalist slogans who were attacked in a bus that was at a bus stop. At the sight of a patrol car, the attackers tried to escape, but were detained and taken to the department of internal affairs of the Kirovsky district.
According to the detainees, the conflict arose because the foreigner refused to give way to the girl. As a result of the fight, a native of Zimbabwe received minor injuries.
