The trial of Igor Mogilev has begun

On June 19, 2006, in the city of Znamensk, Astrakhan Region, the trial of local right-wing radical activist Igor Mogilev, accused of inciting ethnic hatred, began.

It should be noted that the analysis of the testimonies of I. Mogilev's supporters suggests that in this case a proven tactic is used to delay the trial as much as possible. In particular, by the beginning of the trial, right-wing radicals had prepared and submitted to the court 5 (!) expert opinions, including, for some reason, "2 deputies of the State Duma" (one of them - N. Kuryanovich), written "in favor" of And .Mogilev (the court accepted one for consideration, rejecting the rest).

The court rejected the petition of Stanislav Terentyev, a well-known right-wing radical from Volgograd, a member of the Union of the Russian People, editor-in-chief of the anti-Semitic newspaper Kolokol, to appoint I. Mogilev as a public defender.

On November 16, 2006, I.Mogilev's preventive measure was changed to a written undertaking not to leave.
