On July 2, the village of Glazovo, Dmitrovsky District, Moscow Region, was shelled at the Trinikol Monastery, which belongs to the Orthodox Church of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya". They fired from the neighboring yard - at the temple, the cross and the residential building, in which there were people. Within 15 minutes, 15 shots were fired. The dome of the church was damaged by bullets. The victims estimate material damage in the amount of more than 300 thousand rubles.
The police arrived at the scene and are investigating.
Representatives of the Church of the Mother of God "Derzhavnaya" suggest that representatives of the Moscow Patriarchate were involved in the incident: the rector of the nearest church "incited the villagers against the Trinikolsk monastery and its inhabitants", publicly cursing the "sectarians".
The residents filed an application with the Dmitrov district prosecutor's office to open a criminal case on the fact of the shelling. The policemen, who arrived on the day of the shelling and promised to start an investigation, according to Credo.ru. did not appear until the evening of July 4,
According to Deacon Ivan Pavlov, the police are inclined to impose an administrative fine on the shooter. Anatoly Pchelintsev, co-chairman of the Slavic Legal Center, considers what happened as an act of intimidation on the part of the Russian Orthodox Church. In his opinion, in this case, we can only talk about initiating a criminal case, since the lives of the inhabitants were in danger. The lawyer believes that the refusal of law enforcement agencies to take into account the motive of religious hatred indicates the use of "double standards" by them.
