Skinhead trial in Birobidzhan

On July 3, 2006, the Birobidzhan City Court began considering a criminal case on charges of two schoolchildren aged 14 and 15 in the murder of three homeless people.

The investigation established the involvement of teenagers in an extremist skinhead organization operating in the region, which consists of at least 40 people (one of the accused wore shoes laced with white laces - an attribute of skinhead equipment).

The regional prosecutor's office charged the teenagers under paragraphs. "l", "g" h. 2 tbsp. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder motivated by national, racial and religious hatred), as well as under Art. 214 of the Criminal Code (vandalism) and art. 30 of the Criminal Code (attempted crime).

According to investigators, in the fall of 2005, teenagers committed three murders of homeless people with particular cruelty. The investigation established that young people went out in the evenings to "raids" to the "teplyaks" (they are located on the central square of Birobidzhan behind the monument to Lenin), where homeless people live. Teenagers introduced themselves as police officers, demanded documents, after which they began to beat the person severely. All three murders were committed with particular cruelty. In the victims of skinheads, the heads were pierced with pieces of concrete, internal organs were beaten off, and the ribs of the sternum were broken. They beat one of them with a bat so hard that it broke. In November 2005, during another "raid", the defendants were detained by a passing police squad, which stopped another severe beating - the homeless man was taken to the hospital.

According to the testimonies of witnesses, the defendants said that they included citizens of the People's Republic of China, as well as people from the countries of Central Asia and the Caucasus, among non-Russians, while emphasizing that "persons of Jewish nationality are treated with indifference." Both teenagers supported the slogan "Russia for Russians" and said more than once that "cities need to be freed from garbage" , to which they include people without a fixed place of residence of non-Russian nationality.

The schoolchildren were charged with vandalism after the investigation established that they had painted swastikas on the walls and fence of the regional hospital.
