On July 19, at an evening organized by the Brotherhood of Oprichny in the name of St. Joseph Volotsky on the occasion of the reprinting of the work of the Monk "The Enlightener", the chairman of the Union of Orthodox banner-bearers Leonid Simonovich-Niksic said: "We announce the creation of a modern real holy inquisition."
“According to the head of the banner-bearers,” Blagovest-info reports, “to begin with, the activities of the “inquisition” should focus on the auto-da-fé: he proudly reminded his associates of the action carried out several years ago to burn the books of E. Radzinsky, the newspaper Moskovsky Komsomolets and others. The aesthetic side of the action gave him particular satisfaction: “How beautiful it was there! High column of fire! A landscape like Brueghel's!" The next project was the public burning of D. Brown's book "The Da Vinci Code" and a poster advertising the film of the same name.
"Unfortunately, we cannot yet openly burn heretics, but we will burn books and cassettes with modern Albigensian heresy," L. Simonovich said. He urged like-minded people to "join": "Where you see - take these books and put them on fire. The fire will cleanse our fatherland from the new heresy of the Judaizers."
In this struggle, the speaker believes, all Russian people should unite, "regardless of ideological nuances" and belonging to various church movements.
