Swastika on the monument to Ernst Thälmann

On July 7, 2006, in the suburbs of St. Petersburg - the city of Pushkin, a monument to the leader of the German Communists Ernst Thalmann, erected at the intersection of Oktyabrsky Prospekt and Sofiysky Boulevard, was desecrated. On the pedestal of the monument, unknown people painted a swastika with red paint.

On this fact, a criminal case was initiated under Article 214 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (vandalism).
