Portal-Credo.ru reports that on July 21, the world court of Veliky Novgorod ruled in the case of the head of the city's "anti-sectarian" organization "Anger" Alexander Chausov. On May 25, 2006, he was accused of organizing an unsanctioned meeting of residents of the houses on Kaberova (Vlasyevskaya) Street. The meeting discussed the claims of the residents against the Novgorod corps of the Salvation Army and the community of Jehovah's Witnesses, who rented premises in the neighborhood. The court found no signs of an administrative offense in A. Chausov's actions, but reprimanded the head of "Anger".
Project "Anger" supported the suit of the Federal Registration Service for the Novgorod region to liquidate the local branch of the Salvation Army. However, on June 9, the Department itself dropped the lawsuit. In this regard, A. Chausov, in an interview with the portal, emphasized that the organization he leads is not against the Salvation Army as such: "The gathering of citizens and the 'anti-sectarian' organization itself, as the leader of the 'Anger' noted, did not want to close the Salvation Army at all, but decided to find out the registration service independently filed claims against the Salvation Army and wanted to close it. 'I do not have a 'hairy paw', and all this did not happen on the initiative of 'Anger', and the members of the project were far from being the first to know about it ', Chausov stressed.
At the same time, according to him, "Gnev" does not intend to refuse to conduct "anti-sectarian" actions, since "various sects are actively developing in the Novgorod region."
