"MK in Ryazan" found a "Jewish conspiracy" in the city

On June 16, 2006, Moskovsky Komsomolets v Ryazan announced the material "In the Beams of the Star of David", dedicated to the former mayor of Ryazan, Valery Ryumin, known outside the region for his anti-Semitic views, which were regularly reflected in the newspaper Vechernyaya Ryazan, which he owned . The announcement, signed by the "editor", was in fact a significant (more than half) fragment of Ivan Dobrynin's article "The Fuhrer with sidelocks", published three weeks later, on July 9th. Those. "MK in Ryazan" could not deny itself the pleasure of publishing the same material twice, but under different headings.

The main idea that the author "thinks" throughout the entire text comes down to a simple construction: "But Valery Ryumin is actually a Jew, and his entire mayorship is indulging the Jewish mafia in the city." In this case, the set of "proofs" consists of the following constructions:

* "Well, let's start with the fact that, according to some experts, Ryumin, to put it mildly, is not quite Ryumin. He is half Goldstein, that is, he is partly a representative of the very" titular nation "that he so fiercely opposes in public, diligently playing in front of the public a well-rehearsed role of "Orthodox nationalist" and a noteworthy "cheer-patriot". In fact, the VVR is the most ordinary half-breed, torn apart by conflicting political ambitions. On the one hand, he is an ultra-Nazi, on the other, a rabid Zionist (here call of blood, you can't do anything)"

"... To understand the motives that moved the classmates of Valery-Borukh Vasilyevich Ryumin-Goldstein, it is enough to look closely at his profile - a slightly noticeable hump on his nose and hair curling at the temples (the so-called "rudimentary sideways" - this is hereditary) give out a national belonging to the former mayor. And in full face, Ryumin, like two drops of water, resembles a typical shtetl Jew from some Berdichev ... "

"Such mentally unstable fascist half-breeds have always been a fertile material for recruitment. The frankly anti-Semitic nature of the article could not but arouse indignation among representatives of the local Jewish community, whose leader Leonid Reznikov (albeit in his personal capacity) tried to draw the attention of the editors to the inadmissibility of such publications. However, the editors presented his appeal as a letter from a not very distant activist defending a "compatriot":

* "One of the articles about the retired loser Valery Ryumin touched a nerve even with the chairman of the Ryazan Jewish community, Leonid Reznikov. What prompted this well-known person from different sides to stand up for Valery Vasilyevich so emotionally?

The answer is on the surface.

Now readers of "MK" will be able to watch how this "intercessor", if I may say so, will justify himself in court, and explain: did he deliberately designate the editor of "MK" in Ryazan as the main culprit and author of the publication about Ryumin and his company "or is it from a small mind. After the appeal to the Ryazan "MK" caused such a reaction, L. Reznikov turned to the prosecutor's office .
