On August 1, 2006, the information service of the Channel 12 TV station in Cherepovets, Vologda Oblast, reported that it had received a letter stating that the head of one of the city's religious public organizations (not named) had been sentenced to death. The letter was signed by the Cherepovets Anti-Semitic Union.
It is reported that the letter was handed over to the head of the public security police of Cherepovets, Valery Luchenko.
Let us recall that in Vologda itself on July 13, 2006, the appearance of anti-Semitic leaflets was noted .
