On August 2, 2006, searches were conducted in the editorial office of the Rus Pravoslavnaya newspaper, the publishing house Tsarskoye Delo, the apartments of the editor-in-chief of the newspaper Konstantin Dushenov, the director Sergei Astakhov, and the apartment of the director of the Russkaya Mysl club Tatyana Andreeva.
The searches were carried out as part of a criminal case initiated on June 15 under Art. 282 h. 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
A statement was published on the website of the Rus Pravoslavnaya newspaper, in which, for some unknown reason, the investigative actions carried out are associated with the acquittal of four young people accused of killing a Congolese student.
